Spiral Q Peoplehood Parade

For our “In the Field” program, we're highlighting the Peoplehood Parade & Pageant hosted by Spiral Q. We had the opportunity to check out their parade in 2024.

This is an annual event where people gather in community for several weeks to make art through puppets, banners, and performances. Participants are connected through efforts of uplifiting and celebrating social movements that are important to everyday Philadelphians.

The parade begins at the Paul Robeson House and ends at Clark Park. People make their way down to the park with joy and empowerment as they utilize their art as a tool against oppression.

If you're interested in getting involved with next year's Peoplehood Parade & Pageant or you're just curious, check out Spiral Q.
